A Note from the Paris Nurse
Greetings and blessings to each of you! Pastor Susan is away and unplugged this week, getting some much needed vacation time. We are blessed to have Pastor Dave available for emergencies and Sunday worship.
The Badenhop Steering Fund Committee made a plan for fellowship funds unused due to COVID-19. We will be offering meals twice a month for OWLS beginning on September 3, 2020, through the end of 2020, including our home bound members. Please be on the lookout for emails requesting an RSVP for the meals. I need to have accurate numbers for the caterer. OWLS Zoom meetings will continue to be held on the third Thursday of each month.
If you are interested in a volunteer ministry, we are looking for 1-2 drivers to deliver to our home bound members. You would need to be available during the lunch hour on the first and third Thursday of the month. You would pick up the meals from a masked church member and drop them off masked to our homebound members. Please contact Mary Sophia, Parish Nurse, if you are interested.
I attended the annual Alzheimer’s Symposium in August virtually and learned so much! The field of dementia is changing rapidly. I am currently working on a Zoom presentation for the church family to hit the highlights of new research, prevention, and caregiver support.
Thank you all for your prayers for my recent cataract surgeries. They went well and my vision is amazing! The pressure in both eyes is now normal. I still must rest them each day, but I am grateful.
Grace and peace,
