A Note from the Parish Nurse

Greetings precious ones!

With the chill in the air this morning and the changing leaves, it truly looks like fall has arrived. God once again spoils us with the beauty of His creation. Take time to enjoy it. Get outside when you can, even if you just sit on your porch. Fresh air is important to our health, especially in this time of isolation.

I hope to see many of you at the Town Hall Zoom on Sunday at 11:30am. This will be a great time to get information and give your input.

The October 15th OWLs Zoom examined the the Knox County Planning Commission’s 2-year study on Seniors in Knox County. We served 45 meals this week, with 26 of those being delivered. We welcome Chris and Larry Warren back to Knoxville and to our delivery team!

Remember that early voting is underway and continues through October 30th. Sites are listed on the Knox County website, knoxcounty.gov.

This week, I will be attending the Badenhop Steering Fund Committee Zoom and a Duke Divinity School webinar with the Theology, Medicine and Culture Program. I will host and present at the OWLS Zoom, in addition to tracking COVID-19 data and Knox County benchmarks and calling members.

Grace, peace, and health,

Mary Sophia
