Hello and virtual hugs!

I so enjoyed seeing many of you at Sunday’s Town Hall Zoom meeting. The Messiah COVID-19 team has done so much work, and their presentation was excellent. As you know, Messiah will have in-person worship this Sunday for 50 members. Please know that if you are uncomfortable attending, we support that decision. We will continue live-streaming the service as well.

I hope you have received my Parish Nurse News emails this week. The first was information on our new AED! The second was about needing a flu shot even if you are self-isolating. Also included were helpful tips on how to get your flu shot safely. Please be sure and look at these and email or call me with any questions.

Next week, be on the lookout for a Parish Nurse News about Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). As we enter winter, some of us really struggle with depression and fatigue. I hope to provide helpful tips and prayerful guidance.

I continue to make calls, deliver meals for OWLS, provide medical equipment, track COVID-19 data across Knox County Schools, UT, Knox County, Tennessee, the U.S., and globally. If you are interested in this information, please send me an email. This week, I attended a virtual parish nurse meeting and learned a great deal.

May God meet you where you are, remain ever-present in your mind, and fill the empty spaces in your heart and soul. Amen.

Blessings,

Mary Sophia
