Upcoming Fairs

This is Your Lifetime!

This is Your lifetime! is the new title for our upcoming “fairs.” Our health fairs are now an educational series covering birth to retirement and beyond.

Part I: Birth thru Pre-K Saturday, March 2, 2019 — 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Topics will include developmental milestones, stimulating your child, parenting styles, vaccinations, doctor visits, electronics, preparing for school, social behaviors, and how faith and faith communities play a role. Discussions on parenting issues will be encouraged. Plans are for Safety City to perform Car Seat Safety Checks. Resources and website information will be shared.

Part II: School Age/Young Teen Saturday, August 10, 2019 — 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Topics will include developmental milestones, electronics/tablet/computer use and safety, doctor visits, vaccinations, social behavior, raising kind and generous children, puberty and contraception, how faith and faith communities play a role. Discussions on parenting issues will be encouraged. Resources and website information will be shared.

Part III: High School/College or Work Force Saturday, November 2, 2019 — 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Topics will include education about healthcare and vaccinations, knowing how to talk with your doctor, taking ownership of your health, appropriate websites for school research and information, life skills, budgeting, basic mechanics, volunteering, how to find a faith community to provide encouragement. Questions encouraged. Resources and website information will be shared.

Part IV: Young Adult Saturday, February 29, 2020 — 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Topics will include life skills, how to budget, financial training, legal decisions and documents, annual doctor visits, vaccinations, how to prepare for a doctor visit, how to read news and statistical reports analytically, what to look for in a website, importance of volunteering and giving, the importance of faith and faith communities. Questions encouraged. Resources and website information will be shared.

Part V: Middle-Age Squeeze Saturday, August 8, 2020 — 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Topics will include parenting your parents and your adult children, caregiving, financial and time management, legal documents including powers of attorney for legal issues and healthcare issues, caring for yourself, how faith and a faith community can provide support. Questions encouraged. Resources and website information will be shared.

Part VI: Retirement and Beyond Saturday, November 7, 2020 — 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Topics will include planning for your best life, volunteering, determining what kind of impact you want to make in your retirement years, how to be prepared for unexpected situations, legal and financial concerns, legal documents that are critical, leaving a legacy, the importance of faith and a faith community, local resources for assistance. Questions encouraged. Resources and website information will be shared
