Worship & Music
Join us on Tuesday mornings in Lent for a service of Matins or Morning Prayer. Beginning at 7:00 am, this simple, spoken service, led by Pastor Eric lasts ~30-minutes. In the Chapel Narthex each Tuesday morning through March 30.
Supper at 6:00 pm
Worship at 7:00 pm
Midweek Lenten Offerings will be designated to Cross of Grace, the new ELCA mission congregation in Jonesborough, TN.
At Messiah our form of worship is known as "liturgical," meaning literally "a work of the people." Thus, in worship, you will witness the assembly standing, sitting, kneeling, and responding (through words, songs, and silence.) In other words, for Lutheran Christians, worship is not passive, but very much an act - a work in which we all participate.
Of course, worship is much more than what can be explained here. So, we invite you to come and see. Come join our assembly as we seek to worship God as he meets us in word and sacrament, in silence and song, in good news announced and in peace shared.
